Is this the creepiest ritual in modern sport?

I don't think I've seen anything quite so creepy as this in sport - and certainly not involving NFL players since Rosey Grier co-starred with Ray Milland in "The Thing With Two Heads". It happened during the post-game ceremonies at Super Bowl XLVI, won by the New York Giants over the New England Patriots.

Seventy-eight year-old Baltimore Colts legend Raymond Berry gingerly parades the Vince Lombardi Trophy through a swarm of victorious New York Giants. The players kiss, fondle or simply photograph the Trophy as Berry sports a sinister mad scientist grin, all done to the tune of a fanfare that sounds like it's being played with the sheet music upside down.
